Women’s Retreat in Southern France
July 2025
I’m always on the hunt for unique and magical spaces to host retreats. I tend to steer away from big retreat centers and seek out the quaint, unassuming and somewhat under the radar places that have a specific tone and beauty that can only be felt. In that spirit, I’m so thrilled to offer a unique and intimate women’s retreat at a private residence in the south-west of France. Located in the charming and small town of Fontiers-Cabardes, our home for the week is a nature-lover’s haven, connected to a natural reserve, freshwater lakes and walking distance to historic castles and secret waterfalls. It’s an oasis dedicated to supporting people in reconnecting to themselves and to nature. This retreat is by application only and limited to 8 women willing to share accommodations and ready to dive deeply into the art of embodied living. Days will include yoga, meditation, dharma discussions, guided hikes, beautiful meals and plenty of sacred moments to connect with ourselves, each other and the surrounding land.

The villa is located less than 2 hours from Florence, in a small Tuscan village called Radicondoli. The closest city is Siena.
“Over the years, I’ve slowly learned that when Italians take a full lunch break with friends in the middle of the week, long aperitivi at the end of the day or spend their Sundays just lounging in the sun, they are not ‘doing nothing’. They have learned that fallow time is necessary to grow and produce - anything from children to a successful business. To work better, we need to rest, laugh, read and reconnect. We should not feel embarrassed when ‘doing nothing’, but think of it as an important tool that helps us to enjoy the best life we can possibly have.”
-Sophie Minchilli, The Sweetness of Doing Nothing
